On February 29, 2024, Medicine Hat Community Housing Society, in partnership with the City of Medicine Hat, hosted Let’s Talk: Housing, Homeless & Housing Community Summit 3. Unlike Summit 1 and 2, Summit 3 was open to the public and reflected a commitment to inclusivity and collaboration. Representatives from various sectors, including non-profit organizations, businesses, educational institutions, law enforcement, health and those with lived experience, joined community members in a concerted effort to confront homelessness in Medicine Hat head-on.
A summary report was developed and outlines issues, priorities, outcomes and next steps.
